A Child's Prayer

Happy Monday!                                                                                                                    Oct. 15,2018

It has just been the greatest week. God answers prayers and blesses us beyond our wildest dreams.

First: divisions! I went out on Tuesday/Wednesday with Hna. Genis (she is from the generation of Hna. Hebertson). She is in the Barrio Universidad, on the other side of Carmen. It was great to switch it up for a day! We got to teach an amazing family. Absolutely amazing. They understand everything we teach, and are striving to read the Libro de Mormón. Before we left, we finished with a special kneeling prayer. We all knelt around the bed, (they live in 1 big room pretty much) and the 16 year old son prayed. It was a simple, short prayer. But he said something very important: "Help us to understand that we all need your help." It was so humbly asked, and the Spirit testified that his prayer would of course be answered.

After, they made us sandwiches for dinner and gave us a juice box! So we ate it and watched a volleyball practice. :)
Pineapple Ice Cream. So yummy. Bren with Hermana Hurbertson
Herman Hugo and Abish saw us on the street and took us to eat!!! So kind and generous!

Second: On Sunday, we were really hoping and praying that Carolina and her daughters would come to church! We had seen them Sat. night and reminded them, but I was still really nervous. During personal study in the morning, I said a prayer. I prayed to know if there was anything else that we should do.

Before we headed out, I called them again. They said that they would come. We got to church and waited outside for them for a few minutes but we finally had to go inside. Just as I was trying to accept that they weren't coming, the door opened and the elders waved us down. We ran out and there they were! I hugged them so tight! As we sat together and listened to the testimonies, a darling little girl got up.

She gave a beautiful testimony all by herself, and said, "When we talk with God, he will be with us when we need Him."
That is true. Prayer is one of our most powerful tools. And we must use it! Not just to ask, but to also give thanks and ask forgiveness. To make our will His.
Some relaxation time
God is waiting to hear from us! Waiting for us to ask for help. He will always come to our aid. But first we must seek him through humble prayer.

There is a quote in my agenda for this cambio(transfer) that I love.
The best homemade Tamales YUM!!!
Oh how I love this family!!!!

 It is by Elder Holland.
He says, "You can't do it your own way. Don't even try. That's part of the worry- you don't have to do it, you can't do it, you can't do it, you shouldn't do it. Stop worrying that you have to do this. This is God's work! He will watch you! He will answer your prayers! He has legions of angels and teams of chariots to run to your aid this very hour. He will bless you! This is His work, but you have to do it His way! That's the contract."

He listens to our prayers. And He loves us. So keep on pushing forward, He's right there beside you. I know that to be true. Love you all!
