Feliz Navidad

December 27,2017 Merry Christmas everybody! I hope it was a great one. It was so fun down here! The highlight of the day was getting to learn the background of pinatas and learn the song you sing when you are hitting the pinata. So so fun and hilarious. I got a few good hits in if I do say so myself.  In actuality, the real highlight of the day was split into two parts! I loved getting to talk with everyone on the phone! Everyone sounds like they are doing great. It was great talking to my siblings!!! Christmas was made special getting to talk to Brenna!!!   The second part was a Christmas miracle! I was kind of bummed because I hadn´t met any Hermanas that were going to V. At the final devotional of the night they called a Hermana Sanchez out of the audience to bear her testimony, and she is going to V! She is so adorable. Her testimony was so sweet. After the devotional I ran up and said,  "Hermana Sanchez! ¿Va a Villahermosa?"  She looked at ...

1 month in!!!                                                                                                             Dec. 20,2017 Holy guacamole I cannot believe that tomorrow marks one month since I entered the CCM! It has flown by. So so fun.  This past week has been a blast! Definitely full of laughs and a lot of pathetic Spanish. First I have to tell you all a funny story. This past Saturday I think H. Wixom and I were teaching ¨Ruby¨ and I was in the middle of bearing my testimony. My spanish was flowing and I was feeling really good. All of a sudden I look at H. Wixom and she just has this terrified look on her face. She points to me and just starts going, ¨Hermana Roe! Hermana Roe! Un ara...

Ye Shall Obtain

Hola familia y amigos!                                                                                              December 13, 2017  This past week has been a wonderful experience. I am so grateful to be alive and to have the ability to amuse people with my subpar spanish skills. #blessed God is so good to me. I wanted to share a quick experience I had. I was sitting in class one day (surprise, I know) and was just thinking about how crazy life is. And how scary it can be sometimes. Spanish is interesting, I was stressing about trying to remember the tenses and tones, and suddenly a still small voice said to me, "Ye Shall Obtain". I was quiet for a minute because I was trying to figure out what exactly I would be obtaining. The language? Go...

¡Hola! How has everyone's week been? Good? Good.                                                     Dec 8,2017 I cannot believe that I am on week three here and the CCM! (week 3 in my horario) Loco craziness. I love it here, this place totally beats the Provo Mtc. I literally live in a neighborhood of missionaries. It is the bestest. Beautiful grounds of CCM The view outside my door!!! A neighborhood of missionaries!!! There have been so many things this past week and yet it feels like everyday is the same. I am so blessed to be here and to be surrounded my people I love all the time. I am also really stoked to fly out to Villahermosa and be able to walk around the city and chat with God's niños.  Last week the temple was great! So so beautiful and unique. I get to go back one more time before I leave here, so I will be sure to...

December 3, 2017 Now that we have gotten the subject line out of the way, HOLAAAAAAA!!!! (Before Bren left she changed my name to this on my phone! Every morning I hear "Good Morning Notcho Felicity James Johnathan Meyers the second the second" And, I think of Brenna! So much fun !) Yes, I am alive. Surprising, I know. Lol haven't gotten hit by a bus yet. Things here at the CCM are the best. I love love love it here, so rest easy. I personally think the food is fantastic. Super good fresh fruit, I have pineapple every single day haha. Class is wonderful! Español is a wonderful language. So beautiful and humbling. I have been blessed to be able to teach I think almost 5 lessons now in español. It is such a wonderful experience and the espiritu santo is always there to help fill in the gaps in my language. The gift of tongues is real. I am definitely not fluent in español, but I am able to understand nearly everything that I am told. After we teach "Camil...
