Notcho Felicity James Johnathan Meyers the second the second
December 3, 2017
Now that we have gotten the subject line out of the way, HOLAAAAAAA!!!! (Before Bren left she changed my name to this on my phone! Every morning I hear "Good Morning Notcho Felicity James Johnathan Meyers the second the second" And, I think of Brenna! So much fun!) Yes, I am alive. Surprising, I know. Lol haven't gotten hit by a bus yet.
Things here at the CCM are the best. I love love love it here, so rest easy. I personally think the food is fantastic. Super good fresh fruit, I have pineapple every single day haha. Class is wonderful! Español is a wonderful language. So beautiful and humbling. I have been blessed to be able to teach I think almost 5 lessons now in español. It is such a wonderful experience and the espiritu santo is always there to help fill in the gaps in my language.
The gift of tongues is real. I am definitely not fluent in español, but I am able to understand nearly everything that I am told. After we teach "Camila" we talk about how we feel, what was good and not so good about the lesson. Hermana Lopez, who is Camila, speaks very quickly and doesn't really know any ingles. It is so fun and heartwarming because she'll just be prattling off and I get to translate for mi compañera. God is good.
Today we get to go to the temple! I am super excited, it'll be fun to get out of the walls for a little while haha.

Yesterday when we taught Camila, I brought my family photo album and talked to her about my family. The spirit was so strong, because I was able to tie family into the plan de salvación. God works through families.
On Monday I got to spend a lot of time in my casa because Hermana Wixom was sick with migraines. While she tried to get some sleep I was able to study and write a lot. God truly guides our words, sometimes even when we aren´t verbally speaking. "I have been set apart by authority from God to preach the good news. God has not called me to be timid. Not awkward. Not afraid. God has called me to be bold. God has called me to preach in the Spanish language. I will do what my God commands."
Last night at a devotional the Presidente y Hermana Bennett spoke at, (the CCM president) Presidente Bennett said something that really hit me. He said, "It´s not enough to do our best. We must do what is required." He went on to explain that if Nephi had only done his best, we might not have the plates. He could've said, "Well, I did my best, but it wasn't enough. Guess it's time to go back." But Nephi did what was required. And I think every single person who has ever read the Book of Mormon is grateful for that.
Missionaries should always be trying their best, but it's the missionaries that do what is required, (like continuing to study even though your brain exploded hours ago) that bring souls unto Christ and that are the most needed. In other words, I am not serving a mission to get by. I am here serving a mission unto the Lord to get the job done. Someone needs to reach into the fog and pull those people out. I am grateful that I get to be one of those set apart Hermanas.

God is good! Life here is ridiculously good. I love making friends, especially with the latinos. I love it when they come up to me (the Hermanas) in the comedor and say, "Hermana Roe! Buenas dias!" and give me a big hug. They are awesome. I love you all! Enjoy your week! I'll just be here studying and chllin with my district. They are my bestest friends haha.
Love,
Hermana Roe
