Feliz Navidad

December 27,2017

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope it was a great one. It was so fun down here! The highlight of the day was getting to learn the background of pinatas and learn the song you sing when you are hitting the pinata. So so fun and hilarious. I got a few good hits in if I do say so myself. ðŸ˜‰

In actuality, the real highlight of the day was split into two parts! I loved getting to talk with everyone on the phone! Everyone sounds like they are doing great.
It was great talking to my siblings!!!
Christmas was made special getting to talk to Brenna!!!

The second part was a Christmas miracle! I was kind of bummed because I hadn´t met any Hermanas that were going to V. At the final devotional of the night they called a Hermana Sanchez out of the audience to bear her testimony, and she is going to V! She is so adorable. Her testimony was so sweet. After the devotional I ran up and said,
"Hermana Sanchez! ¿Va a Villahermosa?"
She looked at me like I was loca (I am, so no biggie) and said, "Sí..."
And I just got so excited. "YO TAMBIEN!!"
Going to miss this city
Our Creative Christmas Tree
My Christmas! LOVED my sock Mom and Dad. Especially my Temple Rock necklace!!!
She was so adorable you guys. She ran down off the stand and hugged me so tight I thought I was going to suffocate haha. It was also a miracle that I was able to understand her Spanish because she was excited so she was talking really fast. I guess she said that she had been looking and looking for a Hermana that was going to V but hadn't been able to find one. She just kept hugging me and saying, "No esta solo, Hermana!" haha so stinking cute. Truly a Christmas miracle.
Gonna miss these Hermanas!

I am excited to leave on Monday! It is a tender mercy because Hermana Gunnell and I (as well as a couple of Elders in our district that are going to Tijuana with her) will all go to the airport together. My companion is taking a bus so she leaves a little later, I think at about 5 in the morning. But I am so grateful that I have one of my friends going to the airport with me. It will be bittersweet to say goodbye to distrito 7A for sure, but I am so excited for all of us to go and serve the Lord and the wonderful Latino people. The church is true all over the world. And I love it.

Love you all!

Hermana Roe
