Happy Monday! What a week! It was full of conferences. We had zone conference this week, it was great! Can't believe how quickly the time is flying by. We actually talked a lot about time in zone conference. This transfer, 21 missionaries are finishing their misisons (a huge group!) and they are all great missionaries. A few of them were there in the conference, and they bore their testimonies. It was so powerful to hear them, and even more powerful because it was coupled with their great examples in the mission.

I also lived in the church house for 2 days but hey, they have AC there so it was pretty great. Jokes, I didn't live there, but it felt like it. General conference was amazing! All of the messages were inspired by God, and the Spirit testified to each and every one! I could write a novel on the things that I loved from each message, but there was something that really stuck out to me.
President Eyring gave a beautiful talk, he always gets me. He told a small story of when he was singing children's hymns with his dear wife. They sang "I´m trying to be like Jesus" and as they sang, his wife earnestly repeated, "Try, try, try."
I have often found myself singing "I´m trying to be like Jesus" on my mission. As we walk down a long stretch of road, or looking up at the sky and realizing that today there are no clouds which means no shade. I think we can all relate a little to Sister Eyring. Keep trying! You are doing better than you think you are. The goal may seem impossible, but God works on a Godly scale. Trust Him.

| One fun moment this week! |
Here are a couple of fun experiences that can sometimes come between us and our divine goal:
There is a dog named Rex. We met him this week. We went to go look for a young woman we had contacted a couple of weeks ago. We got to the house and knock on the door. Suddenly, this dog appears at the window by the stairs, barking like crazy. This is normal, but the window was open and it was thinking about jumping out. So we backed up a bit and were like, "Adiós world." He chills and walks away, but a few seconds later comes back! Finally, they close the window and we think, ok. Todo bien. But no! From above! This dog gets out on the balcony and continues going crazy! It was absolutely hilarious. A lady came out (the mom of the young woman we contacted) and we chatted for a second. Before we left I remembered to ask about her dog. His name is Rex, he is very territorial, and they've had him since we was 3 weeks old. Just for your information.

| A nice visit with great people! |
Also, we had an amigo come join us for personal study! Hermana Hebertson heard a noise and looked over and just saw a tail go behind a big shelf/cabinet thing we have. Hermana Melgar is terrified of lizards so I was like, "Creo que tenemos un amigo" and she went sprinting upstairs. Turns out we had a small iguana! We laid a trap (a box that used to have Books of Mormon) and it actually worked! It fell in! (after hna. hebertson nudged it around with a broom) We closed the box with the packing tape it had come with, and considered sending it home but shipping is too expensive. So we just released it into the wild. aka the street

I love this work! It is the work of the Lord, and we are beyond blessed to have a living prophet who leads and guides us. Heed his word. I love you all! Have a great week!
Love you all,
Hermana Brenna Roe
