Faith and Diligence

Happy Monday!                                                                                   Dec. 5, 2018

I really enjoyed this week. There is nothing better than hard work. Something that I have been trying to apply this week is faith and diligence. Those 2 things are super important, and also something we have to be striving for every day.
Pure Happiness! I got to play some volleyball on my p-day and and Elder played pepper with me! :) So fun!

I would invite all of you to study faith this week. It is the first principle of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but that doesn't mean that it is the easiest or simplest. However, it is fundemental. I really like something that the bible dictionary says about faith:
"Miracles do not priduce faith, but strong faith is developed by obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ, in other words, faith comes by righteousness, although miracles can often confirm one's faith."
First we must be obedient, and then come the results. (after time) which will build up that faith.
This cute sister got her mission call this week
to the Dominican Republic!
Helaman 5:44 "...and they were filled with that joy which is unspeakable and full of glory."

This week we got to go and see one of the ward members open their mission call! She is going to the Dominican Republic! As she read through her call letter, she read my favorite part of the letter, which explains that greater joy than ever before felt awaits us on the mission. That is true, and especially true as we exercise faith!

And diligence. Ah, my dear, dear, diligence. This one goes hand in hand with faith. We must keep practicing this one. We had a fun experience with this last night. It was about 8:30, we were tired, and you just have this light at the end of the tunnel called pday. But we keep on walking and decide to go to a street that we had just barely found that day.

They give you your drinks in a bag here. Weird but interesting!

We walk down the street and pass by a group of teens that are all play futbol outside. (like always) They see us and start using up all the english they know, which pretty much consisted of just "What your name". Eventually, we had to pass back that way. I had this feeling that we should contact them. So, walking back, they start yelling again, and we start joking around with them, seeing in they know any english. We ended up contacting all of them, and we put an appointment/scheduled a futbol game for later this week. Guess we will see what happens. But diligence is important! If we hadn't stuck it out, we would never have gotten to meet all those teens.

Long story short, we never know what the Lord has in store for us. But have faith, and keep working hard. He will bless you. I love you all, have a great week!

Love,
Hermana Brenna Roe
