Happy Monday!! Happy 14 months to me! Happy life! Jan. 21, 2019
How is everybody? Great? Hope so. We had a great week! It was a crazy busy week, but it was great! It started off with cambios, and that meant I was waiting in the bus station (ADO) for 5 hours waiting for my new comp hna miranda and teaching everybody how to play Speed. The card game.

We met an amazing young woman this week! Her name is Iris. She is 16 years old, and really just amazes me! Something awesome, we met her fam because they gave us a ride when we were visiting with a hermana from our ward. We contacted them, and were all about us coming to teach there son, because he loves all the religious stuff. Only thing is...he is 7 years old. Amazing, but doesn't turn 8 until May. They told us that their daughter didn't want anything to do with us. But, when we returned, we invited the daughter, Iris to come and listen. She and her friend came, even though they didn't look so sure. So we taught the Restoration, and everything was going great. They were paying attention, but it was obvious that they were just listening and not feeling. Then, we got to my favorite part! Joseph Smith and his prayer. The look on Iris's face said it all. It was like she had tuned out the rest of the world, she was just focused on what we were teaching. After, we testified and invited her to be baptized. She told us this,
"Look, I never go to any church. Because they all pass by and all say that they are the true church. I don't believe them. But when you guys started to talk about Josè Smith, I don't know. I identify with him. I felt...something." We invited her to be baptized on a specific date, and she said firmly, Sì.

She is so brave! Her little brother Joshua and her came to church with us on Sunday! She is a little quiet but she had a smile on her face when she finished up with her class. Her dad asked her about it when we dropped them off, he noted that she was smiling.
The Church is true. After all the times I have said that statement, I don't think I can ever get tired of it. The Church is true! Can you hear me up there? It is. Read the Book of Mormon, read the first vision, look up at the sky and ask God. He will answer. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in the restored gospel of His son. It is true.
Love you all! Have a great week! Se esfuerza al máximo!
