My Grown up Christmas List

Hello All,                                                                                           Dec. 31, 2018

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! 2019 here we come! Holy hotcakes.

These past couple of weeks I haven't been able to help but think of my Christmas wish list. It included some homemade food, hugs from everyone, some snow, and watching a ball game. (I know, very touching) This week my list changed a little bit.
Love my new Hogwarts shirt from Mindy and Cory and family!!!
Hna Melena and me got to go out on Splits! It was so great!

Christmas morning, the entire world was sleeping. We had a day of work to do, and we felt that we should visit a less active Hermana that we hadn't seen in a couple of weeks due to traveling. We were first going to pass by the house of her sister, who lived just down the street. But we saw that it was closed up tight, so we continued on to this Hermana that we had in mind. As we got out to her house, we found her at the table with her husband and a neighbor, eating leftovers. She saw us, told us to pass, and we gave her hugs. As she was hugging us, we just couldn't let her go.

Soon enough, she started to sob. Without even asking, she said, "She died." Immediately we knew that she was talking about her sister. She had been sick for quite some time.
We had a very solemn Christmas morning breakfast. The only thing I could say was that we love her and we will be here to cry with her.
Making homemade tortillas! Yum!
Otra on plate!

A few days ago, we were walking to go to another Hermana's house to go out and visit with her, her name is Rosa. She is a wonderful Hermana that loves to introduce us to everybody! As we walked to her house, an old woman in a wheelchair waved us down. We walked over and saw that she only had 1 leg- one very swollen leg. She was sad, and just wanted someone to talk to. She began frantically looking for something that she couldn't find. That is when my companion gave her a "light the world" card. She grabbed the card and wept into it.

The only thing I could do was hold her hand and ask her if it hurt. She said yes. And she wept into my hand, tucking the card away. The 3 of us shared a moment together, and this woman bore her testimony to us. She kept telling us that God was with us. She gave us suckers, and she made it feel like she was giving us pure gold.
Oh my heck what a yummy treat package!!! Thanks!!!
I got my Christmas Package!!! LOVED all the LETTERS!!

I really can't do a whole bunch. But I can say that my Christmas list has sure changed a lot. The most wonderful thing is that our Christmas wishes have already been answered.

God loves us, and He gave us the best Christmas gift we could every receive. A gift that covers every pain. He gave His Son, because He loves us. I know that that is true. I hope that we may have that present this new year. I love you all!  --
Love, Hermana Roe
