The Good Stuff

 Happy Monday! Every week I am amazed that we are already starting another week. Whaaat.

This was a great week! Just so many blessings, a ridiculous amount. So much work to do out here in Acayucan, and so many souls to invite.

A fun thing that we have been doing is really focusing on referrals, and especially referrals from the youth. What we have been doing is putting into a small package a pamphlet, small card with our info, and a chocolate bar or a pulparindo. And we have been "gifting" them to members so they can "gift" it to someone who doesnt't know the gospel. It has been a success! Truly, we have to talk with everyone and everything that breathes so we can check every corner! There are so many people that the Lord is preparing to receive his gospel.

Something that I loved from this week was Sunday. I always love Sunday, but this Sunday was amazing!! We had invited about 6000 people to church, and it is always a little bit like the final playoffs to see who will show up to church. We passed by for someone named Cornelio and as we were arriving to church, here comes a family (Varinia, Cristian, Camila, and little Mateo) that we are teaching! So we got to walk in with all of them, and the ward was so excited to see all of these people! To top it off, another Hermana in the ward, Angelina, helped us to bring Iris and her little bro Joshua, so they were in there and smiling and waving at us! And just when I thought I couldn't be any more content, in walked Justin, and darling youth that we are teaching who's family are all members. 

So that was just the best thing ever.

I really truly believe that exact obedience and diligent work are the key to everlasting happiness. 

God is real, He loves us and He is waiting for us to act. Ask Him what you need to do or change! I think He loves those kinds of questions. Love you all!!! No se dejan de ver milagros!!

May 13, 2019 Happy Monday Everyone! And happy final week of the mission to me!!! So here's the thing: this is my last letter from the mission field. Next Monday, I'll be traveling to the mission offices in Villa, and Tuesday morning I'm off. Gone. Ouch, it hurts just thinking about it. Let me explain why: A perfect example: Sunday. Yesterday, I really felt the meaning of the hymn, "I Stand All Amazed". First, because Hilaria was baptized! She met the hermanas about 10 months ago, and we had actually left her, because I thought that she would never get around to it. But we felt like we needed to darle una vuelta, so we did. And she told us that it was time, she was ready to get baptized. I thought, "HA! Será. We´ll find out." Very quickly we were able to notice that the Spirit had been working on her. Patience is a heavenly virtue

May 6, 2019 Happy Monday everybody! Can I just say, the Lord is so good to us? He really is. And I love Him. This past week, I was studying and thinking about what I should develop of the Christlike attributes. You already know, when we ask God what we need to improve or change, He lets us know pretty quickly.  So I am trying to develop more patience. I like it, it is very closely related with faith and hope. At the end of my study, I prayed for the opportunity to develop patience.  HE ANSWERED. Splits with Herbertson! So great! This week, it was hot.  This week, it was very, very, hot. It was also the "Día del Niño" so everybody was out and about partying, just like the past 2 weeks. So there weren't very many people available.  We planned well, but the backups to the backups fell. Just Keep Swimming

Hola Family, Swimming in rain. Just for a couple of days. But SO much. I think that for a moment God was tempted to send another flood. Can´t say I blame him. Happy Monday! Today (as is everyday) was an expierience. We went to Palenque today (it is only about an hour away) to play sports with a couple of other zones. Super fun! It is hilarious. Because there are all these latinos who are born with a soccer ball in their hand... and then there is the crazy American running around like a pollo sin su cabeza. All of the Elders now know to fear me and my mad soccer and bball skills. haha Gotta love me a coke down here in Mexico!!! Life is good! Working hard down here. I was so happy this past week because we had an awesome lesson with our fecha, Elizabeth. I felt the strongest impression during the lesson to tell her that she is loved.
