Steve, Floyd or Tom?!

March 11, 2019

Happy Monday! How is everything?  Can I get a WOOHOO because the heat is coming back!
Hermana Holman, Herbertson and Roe March 2019 Zone Conference

This was a fun week, we got to have our zone conference! We celebrated because we have been making some major progress out here and completing with our goals! So we are all excited. For example, we had a goal of 150 baptisms in 1 transfer, and we referred to this goal as the unicorn named Steve. Once we found Steve (in October) we were on the search for Floyd, the golden dragon. We found Floyd last transfer! (200 baptisms) So Presidente called for a few conferences to talk about goals, what we need to improve, and what it is that we should shoot for now. We are now working towards 200 baptisms in 1 month, now just a transfer. We are looking for the dodo, Tom. (Short for Tamayo, an Elder that everyone loves that is from my generation)
Drinking honey and a little bloody nose. Good times, good times!

Sooo that is my mission! Haha I just love it. We have got to work hard, and when we reach our goals, we have to work even harder! Truly the Lord blesses us and wants us to keep trying our hardest.

On Sunday I prayed for the opportunity to strengthen my faith. On Sunday, nothing happened allll day long. All of the appointments fell, and we basically were just walking around all day. Sunday's are usually hard days to teach, everybody is busy. So finally, at about 6 in the afternoon, we sat down on the sidewalk to figure out what on earth we needed to change. We talked, analyzed what to do, and I was about to suggest that we should say a prayer when a man with his grandchild sat down by us. We started talking and contacted them. We will see them this week. Then we prayed, and went to the next house. The people we were looking for weren't there, but we contacted their neighbors and we are going to see them tomorrow.

Nothing amazing happened. But to be able to strengthen our faith, we need to do something super important: be obedient.

So don't throw in the towel. What we do today, though seemingly insignificant, is laying the foundation for tomorrow. I know that to be true.

I love you all! Have a great week and don't give up!

Love,
Hermana Brenna Roe
