Monkeys, Drunk guys, and Water....OH MY!
Hola ya`ll. Jan. 22, 2018
Hope everyone is doing great back home! There is never a dull moment down here. Never ever. Every once in a while we are blessed with several experiences in one day. In this case, that day was this past Saturday. Friday had been super fun because when we were at a members home eating, (mom, I am so fat) (jk, just wanted to freak you out) their dogs started going crazy so we ran to the window and there were like 5 monkeys in the trees outside! It was fun because we always hear them. They sound like demons. It is the most horrible noise you have ever heard. But we finally got to see them! Woohoo! That was definitely a plus.
Life here is good! It is all beautiful and I am grateful for the awesome people I am surrounded by. Love you all!!Life here is good! It is all beautiful and I am grateful for the awesome people I am surrounded by. Love you all!!

Then we have Saturday. We were at the iglesia pretty much all day. That morning we had our activity of sports which is always a good time. Then we helped prep for a baptism that the Elders were going to have that night. Finally we go out to the Jose Leman (which is about 600 years from our house and yet that is where we always are) to teach these new investigators and meet up with one of our dates. The fecha wasn`t there, and the investigators weren`t either. So we sat on the curb outside their house and read some Libro de Mormòn. 20 minutes later they roll up in a taxi. The man, (Victor) was drunk as a skunk. So he stumbles inside, (I wouldn`t recommend drinking while on crutches) and we begin to teach a quick lesson. We had left him a pamphlet but he hadn`t read is and yada yada. Long story short, this guy believes he is a prophet. And his poor wife, (who wasn`t intoxicated) is all for it. Oh these poor people. At the end I said adios, and he was like, No! Pronto!! Riiiight

Right after that we went to the church for the baptism of Hermana Diana. She was so so nervous you guys. She has a serious fear of water. So when we opened up the door to the font she started freaking out. But we eventually got her talked down and handed her off to Elder Ruiz who baptized her. She was his first baptism. Don`t think he will ever forget the moment her foot came up the first time so she had to do it again. She was shaking so bad! But I got to wrap her up in her towell and all was well.
Love you all! Don`t forget to read the Book of Mormon!
