Spiders and Peppers
Hola! Dec. 8,2017
This past week has been hilarious. Spiritual, hot, exhausting, and hilarious. Last night we went on a rampage and killed all of the spiders in our house but one or two so that they could munch on the mosquitoes for us. It took about 10 minutes to kill about 25-30 spiders so I feel like we made good time haha

Saturday morning we ate breakfast with some kind of investigators. Their daughter is baptized. While we were there, they bought some habanero peppers from the street vendor walking by, and the Elders Alcala and Peña decided to eat some. You guys, we laughed so hard. They were trying so hard not to cry from the heat. It was hilarious. That is what you get when you try to be macho.
| So grateful for my snacks!!! |
This morning we went to an ice skating rink and skated for a while. Super fun! I may or may not have biffed it a couple of times haha. It was a good laugh.
A cool experience we had this past week: We were meeting with the Primary pres. about Noche de Rama, and we decided to share a scripture I had shared that morning in comp study. It is the one that Taylor shared for my setting apart. Isaiah 41:13. She began to cry because her husband was super sick and needed a blessing the previous night, but there was no priesthood holder around to offer a blessing. So instead she offered up a prayer that he would be alright and make it through the night. Later her son was able to give him a blessing. And he isn´t dead, so everything is going pretty good. So the Spirit is real and knows what people need to hear!
| We took a few random shots before we left the CCM. Check out the Villahermosa Facebook page and see I'm on the cover photo!!! How cool is that! |
It is kind of crazy to talk about investigators and stuff because I don´t know which investigator to talk about. These people are so ready to hear the gospel, and as a mission we are supposed to have 12 new investigators a week with 10 investigators having a date for baptism. Sooo yeah. They are all doing well. Working on making sure we have investigators that will progress and stay in the church. And making sure those less actives get active again. Busy busy.
Love you all! Grateful for little things! Like coco-cola. These people bleed coco-cola. I love it haha
Hasta proxima semana!
Love, Hermana Roe
