I hope everybody could see/will be able to see the Christmas Devotional from Sunday evening, it was fantastic. I loved every moment of it. Nothing better to put ya in the Christmas mood. I also had the very special privilege of being able to bring Ivan, a recent convert, along with us. We have been visiting him all this last cambio, but he hasn't come to church. He is wonderful! Just has a heart of gold. But it is hard for him. So we passed by about half an hour before the devotional and he was like, "Yeah, I will see you guys there!" And I said, "Looky here, you are coming with us. Because you always say that you will come but then you never do." And he was thinking for a second, kind of hummed and haughed, but I think he saw the flames in our eyes, the look of no-not-this-time, and closed up his house/business and came with us.

As we were waiting for the devotional to start, and quietly started talking to. Just randomly, he said, "It is hard for me, to continue in the church. It just seems really dificult to me." And I don't know if it was the sound of defeat in his voice, or just seeing him there in the capilla that I just wanted to hug him tight! Just laugh and cry, but I kept it together and just said, "You are so right! It is hard! But look at you! Look at where you are! We all love you, Ivan, and don't you forget it." We had a good chat, in the which we talked about if he wants a little bit of help or the load to be lighter, he has got to come to church. He has got to open up that door, because Christ has been knocking for a while now.
How grateful I am that Jesus Christ has perfect patience and he knows how to double back and knock again. See if we are home, if we will open up this time. He does it, it is very real.
It is something we must take step by step, this lifelong conversion. And it can be a little hard sometimes. Take heart, smile, get out there, and don't look back! That is what works for me. Those 20 seconds of courage are bulletproof, I'm telling ya. (Brenna's favorite quote from the movie We bought a Zoo)
| Saw this guy today. There are a whole bunch behind this fence on mainstreet! |

I love you all! Make this week great, and follow along with the "Ilumina el mundo" / "Light the World" campaign. Until next week.
Love you all,
Hna Brenna Roe
