Happy Monday! Good news, we are on the 2nd and final week of vacations down here, so you know what that means! People will be home! haha. And less parties!
This week was just a great week. We got to have zone conference on Friday, which was super fun but I was lowkey trying to avoid the fact that it was my last one! Until Presidente made me bear my testimony at the end. So yeah. But it was great to see some friends and learn new things!

Guys, I am just constantly amazed by how kind everybody is. I mean, we always find a little bit of everything down here, but I just wanted to share a cute story today! We are teaching somebody named María Elena, who is 83, and her son José. They are super great, and are progressing along very well. I love María's house because she has a bunch of vases and crystal stuff. So I was asking her about all of it and telling her that I wanted to buy something from here in México that I could take home with me and have in my future house. So we are chatting and suddenly she leaves the room and comes back in with a little vase. She doesn't say anything about it, just sets it down by her. So we teach the lesson, and have a really beautiful time there. They are nervous about jumping in all of this, but every time the Spirit just testifies to them that it is all going to work out. It is amazing to be a part of.
As we finish the lesson, María Elena picks up the vase and says, "This is for you, Hermana Roe!" It is a super cool handmade vase from the state of Jalisco, and it means so much more to me because it's from María Elene, who reminds me so much of my grandma Lavene.
Really, it is such a humbling experience to see how people are so willing to think in others rather than in themselves.

Also, we must speak with everybody! We were walking down the street yesterday and I saw a young couple with a toddler. The thought came to my head, "This is perfect, a couple with a baby!" Then for some odd reason, I got really nervous. But I just stopped, and asked them for an address. We started to present ourselves with them, and I handed them a folleto. I realized that I was all out of folletos of lesson 1, but I still had some from The Plan of Salvation! After we gave them the folleto, they explained that they were waiting to go to the hospital, because they have another baby, who is 19 days old, who is there being treated in the hospital. It was such a perfect moment to explain that we believe that the families can be together forever.
Really, we might not know the people we pass on the street, but God does. I believe that God guides our steps. I love you all! Have a great week!
