What I love about Sunday
HAPPY APRIL EVERYBODY! April 1, 2019
Well, this transfer is rolling to an end. On to the final week! Can't believe how quickly it flew by, but it was great. Good things happen when we do good things, ya know?
Something that I really liked from this week was Sunday! We had a good week, but it was kinda one of those weeks where we walked a lot and then walked some more because nobody was home or nobody had time. We got a kick out of it on Saturday, we had put an appointment for nearly every hour of the afternoon, and called and confirmed with the people. But, they somehow managed to not be home. All of them, except for one. So it was one of those days when we got back to the house on pure prayers of faith because our feet couldn't really do it anymore.

But in those few appointments that we had on Saturday and the rest of the week, some really great stuff happened! We got to put some baptismal dates with some amazing people, and that is all we really need to be happy. On Sunday, we got to go to church, and man I loved sitting in the final class next to my comp and Luis, who got baptized last week, when Luis whispers to me, "Oiga, donde dejo mi diezmo?" He wanted to know where he needed to pay his tithing! So we grabbed an envelope for him and helped him fill it out. I was so stinking proud of him as I watched him hand it to one of the counselors in the bishopric.

Later on Sunday we got to go teach an adorable youth whose entire family are members but somehow he slipped through the cracks because they've been inactive for a while now. And then we got to go teach one of the friends of Luis whose name is Michel, and Luis and Tino were there. And they bought a new puppy, so I got to play with it and teach about the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's just the best, isn't it?

I love this puppy!!!!
So life is good. I am in shock that we are now in April, and I am trying to avoid thinking about what has to happen in May. (it includes a plane and suitcases and no more real tacos) Because I sure do love this work. It is the Lord's. He pushes us along when we can't do it anymore. In Alma 42:14-15 we learn that He really gets it, a lot more than we do. He gets it, and he's got us. So just smile and love every day, because Jesus Christ came to earth and paid the price and all these years later he is still willing to get on our level day after day and lift us up. I invite you to help someone else feel that love this week.

And enjoy general conference! We have the opportunity to listen to our prophet, and as we put into practice what he and the other authorities will teach us, our lives will change forever.
Love you all! Have a great week!
